Routh out as Superman

The trades are a buzz early this morning with word that WB has ended talks with Brandon Routh, star of Superman Returns.

Warner Bros has not yet gone public with the news, but negotiations with Routh have “turned stale.”

According to a source close to WB, talks with the Returns star, “went south a few months ago. They have already began looking elsewhere.”

Apparently Warner Bros was none too pleased with Routh’s turn as gay character Bobby Long, Justin Long’s partner in the film Zack and Miri Make a Porno.

While WB does not condemn homosexuality, it felt that Routh’s depiction in that film would “tarnish his image” as Superman.

The source also stated that the new front running man is Scott Porter of Friday Night Lights fame.

Porter also starred in the films Music and Lyrics, Speed Racer, and Prom Night.

My Friend Steves Review of Push

Push came out recently.

Its got Dakota Fanning, who has no sex appeal whatsoever. I mean its like shes 15 or something.

And its got the guy from Fantastic Four who played the Human Torch. I mean I just can’t see him carrying an entire film, but I guess I was wrong and now they went ahead and did it.

So my friend Steve went to go see it and here is his review:

“Hey Bri, you want a review for your website?”

And I said, “Yeah.”

Then he said, “So I saw Push the other day.”

And I said, “Oh yeah? How was it?”

“Oh man! It was good. It was so good. Bro, it was so good that I got up and left 15 minutes in. I watched the first 15 minutes and decided that this movie fucking sucks and got up and left.”

Valentines Day Special

Its Valentines Day and I have something special for you guys.

My Dad’s review’s of Tropic Thunder and Catch Me If You Can

My Dad recently watched Tropic Thunder, he rented it one night while I was out. I saw him the next morning and here is what he had to say:

“Did you see that yet?” ( pointing to the DVD case )

I went to answer but he was already talking again.

“It fuckin sucked.”

“Yeah Dad, I told you it wasn’t that good.”

“Oh man. It was terrible. Fucking. Jack Black. He sucks. He was awful. And Ben Stiller, my God. He was fuckin terrible. His movies just get worse and worse.”

I said, “He plays the same part in every movie.”

“Every goddamn movie! He’s terrible. The only good thing about it was Robert Downey Jr. He actually came off black. I forgot that he was white until that black guy reminded him he was Australian.”

And that was that.

Now Catch Me If You Can:

“Hey. Dad. I was in the Poconos a couple weekends ago and when I was there I saw Catch Me If You Can for the first time…”

“You know that’s a true story?”

“Yeah I know. Anyway. It was really good.”

“Yeah. Great fuckin flick.”

Its been a while.

I’m sorry for not being on here more often.

Sorry we haven’t posted in a while.

I mean, its fucking hard.

Its hard having full time jobs and then going to school and having girlfriends smoking hot girlfriends.

Its hard after a long day of “working” and then “learning” and then “sexing” to come home and say “Now lets write a review. One that is long and doesn’t jip the reader.”

Its fucking hard man.

So back off. Cut us some fucking slack.

If we didn’t have full time jobs, or go to school, or have smoking hot bitches (our girlfriends, no other bitches) always in or around our Johnsons, then it would be easy to run this kick ass website.

But that doesn’t happen. So like I said,

Anyway, I apologize to George, the only one who really frequents this site, that we don’t update more often.

Has he ever been in a film that you have seen and you haven’t said to yourself, “That dude is fucking pimp.” Has that not ever happened? I didn’t think so.

So get ready for that fucking epic piece of movie. Cause its coming.

My Dads Review of Saw 5

I went to the Poconos this past weekend with the wife.

It was awesome.

I know you wished you had come with, but you couldn’t and I’m not sorry.

We went snowmobiling.

I know you wish you could have gone snowmobiling, but you couldn’t and, again, I am not sorry.

But anyway…

I walked in the door to come home, and my father was sitting on the couch and we chit chatted about the weather and other things.

He then told me he had seen Saw 5 recently.

I said to him, “Oh yeah? Tell me about it. What did you think?” Because I had not seen it.

So without further adu, here is my fathers review of Saw 5, word for word:

“Lets put it this way, there’s going to be another one.”

And there you have it! A tremendous review, and I hope that didn’t ruin the film for anyone who hasn’t seen it. I will try to get more reviews from him, but its hard when all he has been watching is I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.
